The Prakas Group Exclusive Restaurant Broker in Boca Raton Landmark
Restaurant Sale
BOCA RATON, Fla. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) September 6, 2007 --
Athan “Tom” Prakas
of restaurant brokerage firm The
Prakas Group, Inc. brought together two savvy restaurateurs
in a deal that forever changes a 20-year Boca Raton dining institution.
Prakas represented Pete Boinis, owner and manager of the
famed Pete’s of Boca Restaurant,
who engaged The Prakas Group to find a buyer. Prakas created
the link that brought high profile restaurateur Pano Karatassos,
founder and CEO of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group to purchase the Pete’s
location, for a future fishmarket concept restaurant.
“When Pete came to me and said he was ready to
retire, I was sad but pleased he called me,”
said Prakas, whose restaurant
brokerage firm closed 55 restaurant and nightclub deals
in 2006 showing over $70,000,000 in sales. “I
approached Pano about a fishmarket restaurant which I knew would
work well in the location and because it would perfectly compliment his
nearby Chops Lobster Bar concept which I brokered for him
in 2006.”
The Prakas Group also opened an office in Orlando in 2006
to meet growing demand. That office compliments their headquarters in Boca
Raton. The Prakas Group is also currently looking to open
offices in New York City and Atlanta to meet growing
national demand for their brand of niche
commercial brokerage that focuses on the hospitality industry.
“Our focus in hospitality
real estate brokerage has been well received,”
says Prakas. “Since opening in 2000, we’ve
seen tremendous year over year growth and a growing roster of retained
clients that consider us their broker of choice for all their commercial
real estate projects.”
The Prakas Group, Inc.,
established in 2000, provides brokerage services for restaurant,
nightclub and commercial properties throughout all of Florida’s
metropolitan areas and a growing number of properties throughout the
country. Other clients of The Prakas Group include The
Falcone Group, Danny DeVito of DeVito’s
South Beach, Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa, David
Manero Restaurants, Johnny Rockets, Burton Handelsman, MDN
Properties, Rodney Mayo, Tarpon Bend Restaurants, Taverna Opa,
and Mama Mia’s, just to
name a few.
