Richmond, VA (PRWEB) March 18, 2009 -- Just as corporate perks were dwindling amid today's economic challenges, The Baker's Lady® offers something new - a free cookbook for corporate professionals on a budget. The cookbook, called Executive Chef (TM): The Recessionary Guide to Eating Well, features recipes that make healthy weeknight cooking more affordable. To help alleviate budgetary pressures, the cookbook is available at no cost at The Baker's Lady Website.

Executive Chef: The Recessionary Guide to Eating Well is comprised of four strategies including the use of ground meat as well as less expensive cuts and varieties, stretching meals and ingredients to go farther, and vegetarian options that are inexpensive to prepare. The recipes average approximately $2.50 per person, use simple healthy ingredients, and each one features a color photo.

"In difficult times we all need to help one another along," said Kim Baker, founder and president of The Baker's Lady, LLC. "I understand and share the challenges faced by professionals today that are balancing their finances with the pressure of a recession. The cookbook is our way of giving back to the corporate community."

Baker has considerable experience in both the corporate and culinary world, and developed the Executive Chef (TM) program to make healthy eating more accessible to busy professionals. In addition to cookbooks, The Baker's Lady's Executive Chef Cooking program also includes in-office cooking workshops nationwide for corporate professionals. The company has hosted programs at corporations such as Nixon Peabody, named Fortune magazine's "Best Companies to Work For" for two consecutive years, and Doar Communications. The program aims to facilitate work/life balance and encourage good nutrition. For a limited time, The Baker's Lady is also offering a free gift to any individual that refers an employer that schedules and hosts a workshop. The workshops are conducted nationwide, and can be set up in most corporations, schools, and other professional institutions.
