Alltech, Mitsui and Asahi Breweries Create New Venture
The Mitsui trading company and the world renowned Japanese Asahi Breweries announced a new partnership, which will create a joint venture company trading as Advanced Yeast Technologies Japan between Mitsui and Asahi.
Lexington, KY (Vocus/PRWEB ) March 11, 2009 -- The Mitsui trading company and the world renowned Japanese Asahi Breweries announced a new partnership, which will create a joint venture company trading as Advanced Yeast Technologies Japan between Mitsui and Asahi. Global animal health company, Alltech with more than 28 years' experience in the area of yeast production, processing and development will provide the research and development required to bring the products of this collaboration to the commercial marketplace. By 2014, 20 billion yen ($200 million/€158 million) in sales is targeted by the company.

Alltech's global capacity in the production of yeast includes the world's largest yeast factory in São Pedro, Brazil. In addition Alltech's Serbian yeast manufacturing plant is capable of supplying the marketplace with product. Alltech's Quality System which exceeds global quality standards will ensure that all product is safe, natural and fully traceable. The researchers from Alltech's three Bioscience Centers located in the United States, Ireland and Thailand and Alltech's Nutrigenomics Center, the first devoted to animal health, will guarantee the technical expertise necessary to make this venture possible.

The headquarters of Advanced Yeast Technologies will be established in Sumida-ku, Tokyo and the representing director will be Mr. K. Iwato. The company will sell yeast extract.
