TR's New Innovative OBS Movement Sensor Solves Limitless Application Challenges
The next generation OBS Movement sensor from TR Electronic incorporates industry-leading MOVEment technology with two incremental outputs. Troy, MI (PRWEB) May 28, 2009 -- The OBS sensor products are non-contact movement sensors allowing for precise and continuous monitoring of motion for discrete and process manufacturing. While many devices are available to detect motion, the MOVEment technology in the OBS sensor is based on a camera system. This cost-effective and unique design virtually eliminates issues with surface and color variances.
Innovative OBS 105 Sensor
Designed for detecting continuous material flow (or the stoppage of material), the OBS sensors have been proven within the packaging, material handling, food processing and consumer goods industries. Application solutions include the detection of material jams on conveyor systems and providing speed feedback for the flow of aggregate and wood finishing products.

The OBS 105 Sensor provides two incremental output channels, one for the X-axis and Y-axis allowing for speed, distance and RPM feedback. The device is software configurable and has an adjustment sensitivty of 100um, or 0.1mm. The software also allows you to program logic statements that trigger the 2 additional digital outputs based on a condition. Conditions can monitor the speed, distance or RPM data provided by the incremental signals.
