BankCard Central has teamed up with Restaurantpartner.com to raise awareness of credit card fraud and identity theft within the restaurant industry and help protect restaurants from financial and reputational risk.

Restaurantpartner.com founder, Monty Lockyear, points to commonly unknown statistics as a motivator to form this partnership. “According to card association data, restaurants make up over 40% of all incidents where a criminal gained unauthorized access to credit card information. The two companies plan to start with an awareness campaign geared to educate restaurant owners and managers.
