Workers Reveal Main Sources of Stress in LifeCare® Poll

This release shares details about a poll asking American workers to cite their main sources of stress.

Shelton, CT (PRWEB) October 28, 2009 -- Stress is nothing new to the American workforce, and the majority of workers know exactly where this stress is coming from: their jobs. A poll conducted throughout the month of September by LifeCare®, Inc., a leading provider of health and productivity solutions for employers nationwide, asked workers, "What stresses you more -- work or family responsibilities?" They responded as follows:

- Work – 55%
- Family – 35% (24% cited parenting issues; 7% cited caring for an adult loved one; 4% cited general family issues)

They're dealing with a tremendous amount of stress related to job security and financial concerns, and this can quickly compound the everyday pressures of family life and caregiving. It's more important than ever for employers to help ease this stress so their employees can stay focused, productive and healthy.

Each month, LifeCare posts a poll on its private web site asking individuals to share their thoughts and opinions on the latest issues and work/life trends. Past polls have addressed topics such as health and wellness, work/life balance and caregiving issues.
