ArtCreel.com Gathers Fine Fly Fishing Art into One Online Ecommerce "Basket"

ArtCreel.com is a striking new ecommerce site dedicated to showcasing a wide variety of limited edition fly fishing art from many of the sport's most celebrated artists. Its beautiful layout and intuitive navigation make it simple to browse, sort, learn about and purchase the high quality angling art it features. ArtCreel's accessibility and growing catalogue of available work makes shopping for fishing art fun and easy.

Bozeman, Mont. (PRWEB) October 28, 2009 -- Montana painter Scott Hale has launched a new e-commerce website that brings together a wide variety of fly fishing art from many of the sport's most celebrated artists. ArtCreel.com showcases "Fine Art for Anglers", and provides an extraordinary one-stop experience for finding and purchasing high quality limited edition angling art and fish art prints.

Hale says, "For some time I've been wanting to create a place on the web, apart from my landscape paintings, where I could share my angling art with everyone. Somewhere along the way, about a year ago, I decided that it would be fun to build a site where fly fishing enthusiasts could come and find not just my work, but fly fishing art from a group of really talented angling artists. I'm proud to announce the launch of ArtCreel.com - the amalgam of these ideas."

A simple and beautiful layout greets visitors of ArtCreel.com. At the same time it has intuitive navigation that allows shoppers to easily sort through the offerings by subject, artist, size, or price. There is a Member sign up that allows customers to become eligible for special offers and earn discounts on future purchases through the 'ArtCreel Rewards' program. Another unique aspect of the site is a community area called 'The ArtCreel Campfire', where visitors are encouraged to "pull up a camp chair and kick back". The Campfire hosts a blog, informational articles, press, studio news from ArtCreel's artists, and resourceful links related to fly fishing and fly fishing art. Additionally there is a section of the Campfire called 'Fish Tales'. Here, visitors can submit fly fishing stories in a monthly contest where the winner receives a free limited edition print and gets their story published on the site.

The art itself is bold, colorful, and diverse. Getting around ArtCreel is easy - visitors can drill down to subjects including "Fish", "Anglers", "Waters", and "Flies", and can also sort the art between "Freshwater Fly Fishing Art" and "Saltwater Fly Fishing Art". Prices currently range from $30 to around $400. Currently, there are nearly 70 different limited edition prints available on ArtCreel (with more on the way), from seven different artists. "Right now there are more fish than anything - we have 41 different fish prints!" remarks Hale. Viewers will be visually drawn into the work on ArtCreel, no question. But there is something else that really adds to the ambience of ArtCreel, and that is the stories. Many of the works include thoughts, notes and miniature essays about them that provide the viewer with deeper insight into the mind of the artist and create a more personal connection to the work.

Artists represented include Hale, and a number of veteran artists in the angling art world: Peter Corbin, Al Barnes, and Joseph Tomelleri. Other outstanding artists that have come aboard include painters Derek DeYoung and AD Maddox, and woodblock printmaker John Koch. ArtCreel plans on adding a few additional artists including Jeff Kennedy and another veteran of sporting art - Bob White, in the coming weeks.

To celebrate it's Grand Opening, ArtCreel is running a promotion through the end of November 2009. When visitors sign up as a Member and spend $75 or more in the shop, they will automatically receive a complimentary 5" x 7" limited edition print valued at $30, at the checkout.

Anglers, as well as those who will be shopping for anglers this holiday season, can find it all at www.ArtCreel.com
