Industry Veteran Richard Trask Joins Starmount as Vice President of Marketing

Starmount announces industry veteran Richard F. Trask has joined Starmount as Vice President of Marketing

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 3, 2009 -- Starmount, the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for the integrated digital signage and retail services industry announces industry veteran Richard F. Trask has joined Starmount as Vice President of Marketing.

Mr. Trask, a long-time veteran of the digital signage industry, will spearhead Starmount's new integrated digital signage initiative. Starmount enters the fast-growing digital signage marketplace with a unique approach to solving the multi-faceted requirements of today's in-store retail environment. Most digital signage providers are focused on the task of delivering focused messages to customers as they make purchase decisions throughout the store. However, in today's business environment, for an in-store retail marketing strategy to be successful it is vital to integrate all in-store systems into a multi-tiered framework for deploying applications into various heterogeneous environments, integrating with new and existing business systems, and presenting a unified view to the user across multiple form factors. It is under this unique approach to the retail environment that Starmount enters the market.

Mr. Trask's successful career includes 4+ years as Director of Marketing and Director of Public Relations at Scala Inc. Prior to joining Scala, Mr. Trask founded rftConsulting, a marketing and services practice helping small to mid-market companies attain their business goals through innovative marketing and public relations solutions.

Highlighting his commitment to the success of the industry, Mr. Trask was appointed to the Advisory Board and elected to the Executive Board of the Digital Signage Association. Mr. Trask was also an active member of POPAI's Advocacy Committee helping retailers understand and implement digital signage.
