Insight Connector is a plug-in for Outlook email client. It provides calendar, tasks and folder sharing among other groupware features for Outlook users without the need of a Microsoft's Exchange™ server. Insight Connector works with various open source IMAP servers like Cyrus, Courier, Kolab, and Citadel as well as Bynari's own email server, Insight Server. With the new version of the Connector, Outlook starts up three times faster, folder switching and searching function are instantaneous, and messages can be downloaded with various options like download attachments on demand. Support for mobility products is available as well as grouping features and user quota. More features like push email and client side out of office will be added before the product is officially released. Connector continues to support all the standard iCalendar and vCard specifications so that other web clients and email clients can share with Outlook users.
