5th Annual Belgian Beer Festival in Fells Point, Maryland

Annual Belgian Beer Festival set to take place Friday - Sunday, February 13 - 15, 2009 at Max's Taphouse in Fell's Point, Maryland from 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. each day. Max's will showcase 120 Belgian drafts and over 200 bottles of imported specialty beers, some of which will be exclusive to the Taphouse and some of which will be making their U.S. premiere. (Vocus/PRWEB ) February 11, 2009 -- Whether you like traditional ambers and lagers or prefer blondes, stouts or triples, there is something for everyone (including true beer connoisseurs) at the Annual Belgian Beer Festival set to take place Friday – Sunday, February 13 – 15, 2009 at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore, Maryland from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. each day. Famous for its already huge selection of beers, Max’s will showcase 120 Belgian drafts and over 200 bottles of imported specialty beers, some of which will be exclusive to the Taphouse and some of which will be making their U.S. premiere. In addition, guests will have an opportunity to try authentic Belgian menu items which will be available all throughout the day. The event is open to the public. There will be an incredible variety of beers ranging in price from $3-9 for drafts and $6-50 for bottles and they will be available in full size and sample size. Some of the beers featured include Hanssens Young Lambic (cask), Hanssens Old Kriek (cask), Aluinne Kersus, Fantome de Noel, Cantillon Foo Foune, DeRegenboug T’smisje Calva Reserva, DeRegenboug T’smisje Grand Reserva, Duvel Green and Ommegang Fruit, among others.

Last year, writer Chuck Cook, flew in from Amsterdam for the event. When Ron Furman, proprietor, asked him why he traveled so far, he replied “I couldn’t even go to Belgium and find this many amazing Belgium beers in one place.” No where in the world will you find an event with so many Belgium beers under one roof.

This is the 5th Annual Belgian Beer Festival designed to showcase these incredible beers. Max’s Taphouse, located at 737 S. Broadway in Fell’s Point, is open every day, 11am -2am.
