New York, NY (PRWEB) December 9, 2008 -- A recent poll by Select Coupon Program found that 78% of US Consumers are using more grocery coupons as a result of the recent economic downturn with 61% reporting that they are using more coupons than at any other time in their life.

During the recent survey, 21% of respondents cited increased energy costs as the number one reason for the increase and Job loss at a close second with 20%.

Other reasons reported for the increase included stock market declines, home foreclosure and retirement.
