Thermostat Brings Home the Gold at LuxePack 2008
Design firm wins gold Pentaward for Side Job Cellars C5 wine label.
Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) November 9, 2008 -- Thermostat was awarded the gold Pentaward for the wine category during LuxePack 2008 in Monaco, France for their work on the C5 brand from Side Job Cellars. The international jury composed of 12 specialists in package design award 1 gold Pentaward to each category.
The C5 brand highlights a true story behind an entrepreneur's passion. Side Job Cellars owner, Jeff Lubin, wanted to quit his day job and start a wine business. There was only one problem; capital. So he sold his prize possession, a C5 Corvette, for seed money and bottled up some great single-vineyard Zinfandel. "We had to honor his sacrifice and keep the story alive," says Shawn Rosenberger, principal and creative director of Thermostat. "We wanted to create a distinctive new brand that expressed his story with a simple, yet iconic design." This was achieved by using a photo-illustration of an iconic hanging leather keychain replacing the keys with corkscrews.
