Murder Leads to Revenge, Violence, and Love in Hard-Hitting Thriller Novel

When Ben McCord comes home from a business trip to find his young wife raped and murdered, he starts out on a journey that leads him to a beautiful female dentist, but also to a dark world of drugs, violence and destruction.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 15, 2008 -- When his wife is murdered, Ben McCord finds himself the primary suspect. Determined to hunt down his wife's real murderer, he soon finds the killers are making attempts on his own life in Richard Roach's graphic new thriller "Scattered Leaves" (ISBN 9781591461463, Multi-Media Publications Inc., 2008).

Ben McCord wants revenge. His beautiful wife, June, has been raped and murdered and he isn't going to let the perpetrator get away with it. After clearing himself as the primary suspect, Ben nearly becomes the next victim. Following several attacks upon his own life, Ben learns a government agent wants him dead. Unable to get help from the authorities, Ben must seek justice on his own.

Clues soon lead Ben to a dark world of drugs and violence in action that spans Texas, Colorado, and the Mexican border. Ben hooks up with a beautiful female dentist, PJ, who has also been victimized by the members of the drug cartel that caused his wife's death. Now Ben decides he will ally himself with PJ to avenge the crimes committed against her and his wife by this sadistic gang.

Ben and PJ have several confrontations with the drug cartel. Constant escapes from capture and repeated violent attempts on their lives become common for Ben and PJ. They follow the gang across several states and into Mexico before they have a dramatic showdown with their enemies in the Big Thicket of Texas. And along the way, Ben and PJ find solace from their personal agony in each other.

"Scattered Leaves" is not for the faint of heart. Violence is rampant throughout the story, but Roach's dramatic and fast-moving style keeps the reader glued to the page. Vivid and realistic depictions of sexual child abuse as well as explosions and murder attempts abound. The story hits the reader in the stomach, never letting up until the stunning, unforgettable conclusion. Readers will be shocked, angered, and eagerly ask for more--don't worry--a sequel is on the way.
