Americas Watchdog Initiates a National Investigation of Possible Victims of the Drug Called Trasylol

Americas Watchdog & its Corporate Whistle Blower Center are initiating a national investigation involving possible victims of the drug Trasylol. The subject of numerous news casts and law suits; Trasylol has been linked to possible deaths and serious injuries that could involve thousands of US Citizens. The Americas Watchdog seeks to talk with possible victims or their families about Trasylol, and what might have happened to individuals who were given this pharmaceutical. The group also wants to hear from medical professionals about any information they may have about Trasylol.

(PRWEB) February 27, 2008 -- Americas Watchdog & its Corporate Whistle Blower Center are initiating a national investigation involving possible victims of the drug Trasylol. The pharmaceutical Trasylol, and its maker Bayer have been the subject of recent national news media coverage regarding deaths or injuries that may have resulted from this drugs use. Numerous lawsuits and or class action lawsuits have been filed against Bayer the drugs maker in the United States. It has been alleged that this drug may cause death, kidney failure or may have other possible serious side affects. It has also been alleged that Trasylol's manufacturer may have known about these possible side affects for a number of years.

According to Americas Watchdog, "our group intends to find out if there were issues with Trasylol, our group intends to find out who knew what, and our group intends make sure something like this never happens again".

Numerous class action lawsuits and or individual lawsuits have been filed over Trasylol's possible side affects. ( Including Case Number 00628, Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia, County, PA, December 2006)

According to the Corporate Whistle Blower Center, "over the past many years, Trasylol was given to as many as a third of all heart bypass patients in the United States". A study in January 2006 linked the use of Trasylol with increased death risk and sugested 22,000 lives could have been saved if the medicine was recalled, According to a noted researcher, the German drugmaker Bayer had conducted its own research and confirmed the possible dangers, but failed to disclose to the FDA during an FDA advisory panel meeting in September 2006. Dr. William Hiatt, the chair of the FDA advisory panel, told CBS 60 minutes, he would have voted to remove Trasylol from the market had he known that Bayer had confirmed the findings.
