New Novel Lights the Way to God's Love

Teen finds hope and happiness in the midst of challenges.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) January 20, 2008 -- In The Sun Will Rise ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-427-6) author and college student Kelly Leigh Halsch invites young readers to learn about God's love and faithfulness in this first book in the Pathway of Light series.

Fifteen-year-old Morgan Peters thought her life was perfect until her father accepted a job offer, forcing her family to move across the country to Southern California. She struggles for a year to make friends and fit in at a new school, but more challenges come her way just when she thinks her life is starting to be normal.

In telling Morgan's story, Halsch believes the vital truths contained in the book "can change the lives of young girls searching for an identity in God during their formative years." She hopes readers will see that "God's promises and faithfulness are as sure as the sunrise."

According to the author, "the struggles of the main characters in the book are typical of many young people, and many of their feelings and actions are ones that I or someone close to me has experienced." She herself "came to the Lord" at the age of fifteen with the help of Christian fiction and knows what God's truth communicated through this means can do to develop a person of love and character.

Kelly Leigh Halsch is majoring in English at Biola University in La Mirada, California.
