Airfaredig.com Exploits Unannounced Airfare Sales

Teen entrepreneur launches Airfaredig.com, a web site that strives to give consumers a heads up on airfare deals.

Minneapolis, MN (Bluehost/PRWEB ) January 15, 2008 -- Filling out college application forms isn't the only objective on Mark Becker's agenda.

The high school senior from Fergus Falls, Minnesota also intends to succeed in helping consumers find wallet-friendly airfares. With a niche for web design, a passion for traveling, and the desire to save money, it's no mystery why Becker is the perfect candidate for the job. His answer is Airfaredig.com (www.airfaredig.com) - a simple web site that scopes out unadvertised airline sales.

Airfaredig strives to exploit airfare deals that are frequently offered by airlines, yet go unnoticed by the prowling eyes of many consumers.

"These bargains come and go quickly, and the only way to find them is by continuously scouring an airline's web site," says Becker.

It's a time-consuming task, especially considering the constant fluctuation in airfare prices. By staying alert and keeping up to date on airline web sites, Becker updates his site multiple times throughout the week with new deals. One can imagine that his work entails tiring hours, given that these sales aren't easy to come across.

"An airline might post a simple sale notice on it's web site or send an e-mail to it's customers at the very most," says Becker. "Otherwise, it's up to [Airfaredig to dig deep and search for fares that have gone down in price," he said.

Since 2004, Airfaredig has been turning the heads of many frugal travelers with its knack for sharing the low-down on the latest deals. Using a simple web site layout, Airfaredig.com consists of brief updates that explain the sale details, such as the valid travel dates, when it expires, a link to the source where the fare can be purchased, and other necessary facts.

Becker, who has self-proclaimed himself an "airfare-guru," previously used to scour airfare web sites looking for enticing deals to various destinations at the request of family and friends. As a result, the teen soon became familiar with the perplexity of airfare and how to dodge the headaches associated with trying to find a good deal.

"I love helping others find great deals," Becker says. "It's a remarkable feeling to get positive feedback from those who benefited from my work."
