Pimp My Walk - A Web Site that Brings Clown Walking to the Masses

Neil Ramos of Sydney, Australia announces the return of PimpMyWalk.com, a web site that is aimed at bringing the C-Walk to the masses with information, tutorials, and a forum for members to meet and discuss.

Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- The gang known as the Crips was the originator of the first form of C-Walking, which is also known as Crip Walking. This dance involves spelling out gang related words with your feet and flashing gang related signs as you dance. Clown Walking, on the other hand, while it evolved originally from Crip Walking, is a freestyle dance form that has been adopted into hip hop culture.

Neil Ramos has taken this underground dance form, which features flashier and more expressive versions of the original C-Walk moves, by creating a web site that brings C-Walkers from all over the world together in one forum to find out about local C-Walking events, meet other C-Walkers from other parts of the world or from local areas, and more.

The web site can be found at http://www.pimpmywalk.com/.

On the web site, PimpMyWalk boasts over 14,000 C-Walkers as members who engage in friendly online battles and teach each other moves and steps as well as conversing about the aspects of the dance.

Clown Walking evolved in the late 1990s in an attempt to distance the dance moves of C-Walking from the gang activity in the Los Angeles area. Clown Walking became highly popular, especially within public schools where administrators sought a way to ban the gang-related paraphernalia without banning the dance form itself.

While many young people avoided the original C-Walk because of the relation to the Crips gang, the newer version of C-Walking has none of the same connotations, and for this reason is increasing in popularity among young people, especially young men who enjoy the fast and fancy footwork and who thrive on testing their skills against other young men.

PimpMyWalk.com brings Clown Walking pride to thousands of people by offering tutorials that range in level from the most basic of moves for the new C-Walker to perfect to advanced moves for more experienced Clown Walkers to practice to perfection.

The growing popularity of the dance form has not gone unnoticed, and PimpMyWalk.com was actually featured G4 TV's "Attack of the Show" in the number 4 slot on June 11th, 2007, bringing the news of the site to an even wider audience and bringing even more young people together to share the joys of Clown Walking with each other in the PimpMyWalk.com user forums.

Watch the clip of the featured segment on PimpMyWalk.com in addition to the tutorials, which teach moves like the The V, the V Backstep, the V Split, the Shuffle, and the Heel Toe for beginners with more advanced variations like knee drops and the "Gangsta Hop" for users to advance through the steps and gain skill to compete against their fellow C-Walkers.

"PimpMyWalk.com not only provides tutorials for anyone and everyone to learn the Clown Walk, but also a forum for C-Walkers from all over the world to meet, battle, and discuss with each other," boasts Mr. Ramos. As a young webmaster at the age of 16, Mr. Ramos is rightly proud of having his web site featured on television, and wishes to reach out to more young people all over the world to promote Clown Walking and a sense of community among "Walkers".
