Unknown Poker.com Launches Video Channel

Leading poker portal moves into web video, creating a series of software review videos.

(PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- Unknown Poker has always focused on providing online poker room reviews, but up until recently they were all written. Understanding that a picture is worth a thousand words, the web portal has moved to open their own poker video channel on the streaming media giant YouTube.com.

Now, players can see the graphics, lobby features, and table options that a poker room provides without having to download the software and open an account. Having an experienced online poker player walk through the features of the room has subtle, but definite benefits. They will look for features that more experienced users demand, like a comfortable way to multi-table, or the quickest way to pull up a hand history.

Of course not all poker room features are aimed at the serious poker player. Some, like the player and dealer voices mentioned in the Titan Poker review, are designed to make the poker experience more immersive. Others, like the stepped tournament information in the Party Poker review are unique features that are not widely available. While this information can easily be written, the effect is much more pronounced when visitors can see and hear it for themselves on video.

Poker room reviews are only part of the videos that will be offered on the channel. Other poker software like hand calculators and hand history analyzers will be reviewed as well, giving players insights into how to get the most from these programs.

In an effort to support the channel, poker rooms have designed bonuses especially for video viewers. For example, Pitbull Poker has created a bonus code (10and25) that viewers can use to claim $10 for free (no deposit required) from the room for use at the poker tables. They have also taken part in the comments thread of their video review, making sure that viewers are aware of all the features the room has to offer.

This type of interaction benefits both the viewers and the product providers by making sure that players are aware of all the benefits the room has to offer, and the poker rooms are aware of the expectations of their players.

Subscription to the channel is free, and channel subscribers can expect a steady stream of content that will also include poker strategy displays and recaps of major online poker events.
