All Ballots - a Political Networking Site Connecting Politicians and Voters
All Ballots is an exciting new website which allows voters to communicate directly with their representatives. Additionally, the site strives to inform voters while giving them their own platform to discuss views and issues.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 19, 2007 -- Communicating with our political leaders should be quick and simple, yet rarely is. However, All Ballots provides a new and exciting way to do just that. Their website allows politicians and voters direct communication, essentially making the voter's voice louder than ever.
All Ballots follows in the tradition of such social networking sites as MySpace and Facebook, albeit with a decidedly political twist. Both politicians, referred to as candidates on the site, and voters can create free user profiles from which they may accomplish a myriad array of tasks.
Upon registration we connect constituents directly with their district's candidates. They may directly message candidates and gather information on views and issues stances from the candidates' profiles. Furthermore both candidates and voters may update their profiles with media, such as images and video, while also maintaining individual blogs.
The website, which launched in the summer of 2007, was founded in Atlanta by Robert Touchton and Geoffrey Parker. In creating the site, Touchton said their primary goal was "to increase both electoral participation and awareness, [adding that we feel we can really make an impact on the coming 2008 election."
Despite having just recently launched, a large number of politicians have already registered with the site. Furthermore, most of them are now taking advantage of the many tools we offer. The number of participating politicians can only grow as we have just begun contacting them.
The site has also begun reaching out to various political groups, some of which have already embraced the site. For example, the College Republicans whose executive director, Ethan Eilon, is excited to have his "organization engaged with [the All Ballots site."
