IS/IT Group of GRC Institute Announces Information Security (IS) Division

The IT Governance-Risk-Compliance Group of GRC Institute has created a new division focused on Information Security (IS) to better address the cascading dependency between IS Governance, IS Risk and IS Compliance. Specifically, the Division is announcing new training and certification programs in these three interrelated domains of Information Security: Certified Information Security Compliance Professional (CISCP™), Certified Information Security Risk Professional (CISRP™) and Certified Information Security Governance Professional (CISGP™).

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 6, 2007 -- The IT Governance-Risk-Compliance Group of GRC Institute has created a new division focused on Information Security (IS) to better address the cascading dependency between IS Governance, IS Risk and IS Compliance. Specifically, the Division is announcing new training and certification programs in these three interrelated domains of Information Security: Certified Information Security Compliance Professional (CISCP™), Certified Information Security Risk Professional (CISRP™) and Certified Information Security Governance Professional (CISGP™). In accordance with due process, GRC Institute will require those seeking certification to:

1. Undertake rigorous training in the appropriate/relevant domain(s) from GRC Institute:
(a) Information Security Compliance Certificate (ISCC™)
(b) Information Security Risk Management Certificate (ISRC™)
(c) Information Security Governance Certificate (ISGC™)

2. Take the corresponding industry-standard examination(s) to earn these certifications:
(a) Certified in Information Security Compliance (CISC™)
(b) Certified in Information Security Risk Management (CISR™)
(c) Certified in Information Security Governance (CISG™)

3. Demonstrate relevant experience to attain the Professional-level industry credentials:
(a) Certified Information Security Compliance Professional (CISCP™)
(b) Certified Information Security Risk Professional (CISRP™) or Manager (CISRM™)
(c) Certified Information Security Governance Professional (CISGP™)
