New Improved Display of Dictionary Results at Canoo.net
Canoo.net adds new links to German language reference sites and further German spelling information.
Basel, Switzerland (PRWEB) July 6, 2007 -- The layout of the results page at Canoo.net ( http://www.canoo.net ) has been improved to clearly display the main dictionary links. All results offer direct access to the three most relevant Canoo dictionaries for spelling, inflection (i.e. word forms), and wordformation. A "More" button displays links to further German language resources. These links include the Canoo morphology dictionary, the largest online German-English dictionary LEO, and the Internet encyclopedia, Wikipedia.

These new links turn the Canoo.net results page into a useful tool to easily access and search various language sites for German. For example, the English translation of a word can be checked in four different dictionaries.
New: Additional Spelling Information
Further details have been added to several hundred entries in the spelling dictionary. These changes primarily affect capitalization, and composite words that may be written as one word or apart depending on the sentence context. For example, the new spelling information for Zeit and zurzeit explains when to use zur Zeit or zurzeit. Further examples include Abend, bisherig, englisch, Euro, fünf, groß, jahrelang, sooft, stopp. Currently this additional information is only available for the most important problem cases.
German Grammar Website
Canoo.net currently registers up to 1 million visits per month. All content can be accessed via hyperlink from any external web site, document, or digital presentation. Teachers and students may use these web addresses to refer to a particular section at Canoo.net as part of a web-based exercise or tutorial. Canoo.net includes:
